after it took a small detour to Switzerland (for whatever reason they still had my office address in Zurich), my patent cube arrived today:

the patent itself has been filed back in June (based on an idea Frans and I had while getting drunk in Amsterdam three years ago) but will take up to 4 years to be processed by the patent office.
